Greetings from the Director

We aim to be a dental clinic that serves the people of Sakurashinmachi.

It is a pleasure to meet you all. My name is Maki Komori, the director of Komori Dental Clinic.

I am very fortunate to be able to open my practice here in Sakura-shinmachi. My goal is to create a dental clinic where you can consult with me about anything, and where you can be a part of our family for a long time.

Providing valuable dental care in an area with a high level of health consciousness

I was born in Toyama and followed my father’s footsteps as a dentist, but I also valued my own values and intuition. I had the option of following in my father’s footsteps, but as I studied in a study group with many leading dentists, I began to think that I wanted to master valuable, high-quality dentistry, and the direction I wanted to go became clearer.

My wife, who is also a dentist, is from Setagaya-ku, Tokyo, so I became familiar with the town of Sakurashinmachi, and began to think that my goal of dental care would be useful in an area with many people who are highly conscious of their health and dental care.

I decided to open my practice in the hope that I can help the residents of Sakura-shinmachi stay healthy throughout their lives through thorough examinations to determine the condition of their mouths and problems, providing the best possible treatment, followed by appropriate preventive care and maintenance.

As a growing clinic, we will work together with you.

The field of dentistry continues to evolve at a remarkable pace. On the other hand, I myself am still in my infancy. Therefore, I am eager to learn new knowledge and techniques, actively incorporate reliable ones into my practice, and constantly grow and improve my skills as a dentist and as a clinic as a whole.

In addition, the dentist of the future should not only examine and treat the mouth, but also be a family doctor who shares and discusses patients’ problems and thoughts with them. As a family-oriented clinic, we would also like to make it a feature of our practice to be able to provide friendly and helpful consultation, especially with regard to children, from a parent’s perspective.

It is my dream and wish to provide ideal treatment for those who want to lead a healthy and fulfilling life, those who find value in a healthy and comfortable life, and everyone who cares about their family.

I value communication with patients. When I am able to solve a patient’s problem and they look very happy.

I studied mainly implant dentistry (under general supervision with a nurse). And I worked in several dental clinics while educating staff and giving lectures.

Motto for my work

I believe that healthy teeth and smiles play an important part in helping patients enjoy life at their best. I want to be like a pit in a car race, so that when they come here, they are healed both mentally and physically.

When I had to leave a patient I was seeing for various reasons, I was scolded. I was happy to know that the patient trusted me that much, but at the same time I was humbled. I am still in touch with that patient to this day.

The staff says “Thank you! is often said to each other. I believe that if you don’t enjoy your work and have time to spare, you cannot be truly kind to your patients.
